Mei Chin is a writer who has contributed to Saveur, Gourmet, The New York Times, Vogue, and Alphabet City. Her essays have been anthologized in Best Food Writing and Cornbread Nation. She is the winner of the 2005 James Beard/MFK Fisher award for Eat, Drink, Mother, Daughter, and the 2010 International Association of Culinary Professionals Journalism Award for The Art of Kimchi, both published by Saveur. She teaches the course “Contemporary Food Writing” at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
A native of Connecticut and long time resident of New York City, she currently resides in Dublin.
